At Drama In Mind CIC, we believe that every child, young person and adult at risk deserves to feel safe, supported and respected. Safeguarding is a priority in everything we do, including our workshops, programmes, performances, community activities and digital interactions.

Who We Safeguard

What We Do

We:

• Carry out appropriate safer recruitment checks, including Enhanced DBS checks where legally required and appropriate to the role

• Provide safeguarding and child protection training and induction appropriate to people's roles

• Follow clear safeguarding, safer working and professional conduct procedures

• Maintain appropriate anti-bullying and online safety measures

• Take reasonable steps to provide safe digital and in-person working environments

• Record, manage and share safeguarding information appropriately

• Respond promptly and appropriately to safeguarding concerns and allegations

Confidentiality and Information Sharing

Safeguarding information is handled sensitively and securely. Information is shared lawfully, appropriately and proportionately where this is necessary to safeguard a child, young person or adult at risk.

Review and Updates

Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is reviewed at least annually and sooner where there is a material change in legislation, statutory guidance, organisational activity or safeguarding risk.
