Community In Mind
At Drama In Mind CIC, we believe strong communities are key to the growth and wellbeing of children and young people. We recognise that every parent and carer’s role is unique, and that sometimes extra support is needed to help families thrive.
This September 2025, we’re excited to launch our wider community outreach programmes to include Parents & Carers, adults and the elderly. These programmes are designed to build stronger connections between home and community through inclusive, supportive, and engaging opportunities. We’ll also be offering specialist SENDCo support for families who need a professional ear to better understand and meet their child’s needs.
Whether you’re looking to get involved or simply connect with others, we’re here to support you through:
-
Creative workshops
-
Informal meetups to share experiences and build community
-
One-to-one support calls for advice, encouragement, or a listening ear particularly for Parents/Carers
-
Volunteer opportunities to be part of our work
-
Interactive projects engaging the elderly and hard to reach adults
Together, we can nurture confident, creative, and resilient communities—with families at the heart of it all.

New Launch!
Welcome to Belong
Our programme uses drama-based learning, roleplay, and creative expression to help participants build confidence, strengthen English skills, and better understand everyday UK systems—like booking GP appointments or accessing local services.
Through fun, interactive workshops, people can practise real-life situations in a safe space, explore their own stories, and connect with others through creativity. It’s about learning new skills while also building friendships and confidence along the way.
The journey ends with a community sharing event, where participants celebrate their progress—whether through a short performance, creative displays, or personal reflections. This final event brings people together and shines a light on the voices and experiences of our community.

Stand By Me

We are launching a new project called ‘Stand By Me’ aimed at reaching young adults (up to 24 yrs old) experiencing isolation and loneliness, particularly those who have few or no family or friends. This lack of social contact can deeply affect emotional health, motivation, and overall quality of life.
Through creative drama-based workshops, gentle storytelling, and interactive group activities, we aim to:
-
Spark meaningful conversations and shared laughter whilst sharing our stories and life's ups and downs
-
Help participants build confidence and express themselves.
-
Offer companionship and a sense of belonging.
-
Relieve feelings of isolation and promote positive mental well-being.
